Rapper T.I. will turn his legal issues into an untitled reality series that will air on MTV in early 2009.
According to Variety, MTV will follow the Grammy Award winning Atlanta rapper as he performs 1,000 hours of community service and readies for a one-year prison sentence, for possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers.
MTV has already ordered eight episodes of the series, which is being produced by Ish Entertainment and executive produced by Grand Hustle’s Jason Geter and T.I. himself.
"We began the conversations in the middle of deliberations over what would happen to him," Ish's Michael Hirschorn told Variety. "The original idea for the show had him staging a series of interventions in each episode with people in danger. But when we visited him under house arrest, it felt much bigger and more powerful than we anticipated."
The show will also document T.I. as he finishes and released his highly anticipated new album Paper Trail, which is due in stores in August.
T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., was arrested by agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives last October, just hours before a performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
The rapper took a plea deal and was sentenced to a year in prison starting in 2009, fined $100,000 dollars and ordered to serve 1,000 hours of probation.

Until T.I. turns himself in for a prison sentence set for next year, he plans to run a hectic schedule filled with speaking to kids about staying out of trouble and criss-crossing the country for concerts.
Along with a concert in his hometown of Atlanta which includes rival Shawty Lo, T.I. is set to bless the stage in New York City, Chicago and Missouri next month.
Tip will be hitting the United Palace Theatre in Washington Heights on June 12th, the Congress Theater in Chi-Town on June 19th and on the 21st he'll be headlining the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St. Louis with Keyshia Cole and Bun B, among others.
As SOHH previously reported, T.I.. agreed to a plea deal in March, where instead of going to trial on federal gun charges, he was ordered to 1,500 hours of community service, a fine, a year in prison, up to 3 years probation and a year on house arrest.
When SOHH caught up with Tip's lawyer, he explained that the rapper is allowed a lot of leeway under his home detention program, which works more like a curfew than traditional house arrest.
"Between the hours that the curfew doesn't apply, he is free to go and do anything, basically," Steve Sadow told SOHH. "But he has a full time monitor with him and he has to get permission to go out of town and permission is given for work or community service."

Atlanta rappers T.I. and Shawty Lo have waged a public beef the last few months, exchanging words on the radio and on wax. Now, the feuding emcees will have to share a stage together in an upcoming Birthday Bash concert for Atlanta's Hot 107.9.
As SOHH previously reported, Lo took issue with Tip for failing to acknowledge him as a Bankhead-bred rapper. On his song "Dunn Dunn" Shawty took some shots at T.I., and the self-professed King of the South fired back on Atlanta radio station 92Q. [Listen here]
"Come on dog," T.I. said. "Who are you for real to be acknowledging like that? Get in the game first."
Then Shawty Lo shot back on DJ Kay Slay's radio show, saying T.I wasn't even really from Bankhead, the hood he's claimed throughout his career. [Listen here]
The rappers are both on the bill to perform at Hot 107.9's 13th Annual Birthday Bash at the Phillip's Arena in Atlanta on June 14.
Branded PR is handling the publicity for the event and confirmed the two rappers will be performing, but according to Tahira Wright, they're not anticipating any problems with the line up.
"I'm not one to perpetuate beef but T.I. and Shawty Lo are indeed scheduled to perform," Wright wrote in an email to SOHH. "However, I'm not aware of any heightened security measures. The Philips Arena is very secure as is."
Other confirmed performers are Young Jeezy, Plies, Soulja Boy and Webbie, with others to be added.
Tickets for the bash are on sale for about $10 to $100. You can purchase them here. http://www.hot1079atl.com/goout.asp?u=http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0E0040998541476E?artistid=1218393&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=3

I was asked by Ciara’s camp to help clear up a rumor being put out there about Ciara by a random blog.
Until last night, I knew nothing about the rumor that Ciara was dating some new guy. First of all, IF that were true you would have read it here since CiCi is a huge supporter of this site.
Secondly, it wasn’t much of a rumor if I never heard about it until last night. Celebrities can’t take a picture with a fan without being accused of sleeping with them now?
Ciara was clearly upset and she sent word to tell my readers not to believe the bogus lies being spread by the random blog (I have no clue what the name of the site is).
I guess if you don’t have any real inside sources you just make sh*t up? *shrugs*
Anyway, Ciara says she doesn’t even know dude. She said, “I took a picture with a fan outside a nightclub. I don’t even know him!” And her assistant Jennifer kirked out when she saw that lie they told about her negotiating to buy the pictures of Ciara and the Chuckie Cheese looking fellow she’s pictured with on the blog site.

Actor/rapper Clifford “T.I.” Harris, Jr. and his girlfriend Tameka "Tiny" Cottle are celebrating the birth of T.I.'s fifth child, his second with Cottle.
Cottle gave birth to their son Major Harris, who was delivered shortly after midnight this morning (May 16).
The infant weighed in at 5 lbs., 15 oz, according to People.com.
"God has blessed us with another miracle," T.I. said in a statement.
T.I.'s infant son shares the same name of another legendary artist named Major Harris, a Philadelphia soul crooner best remembered for his 1975 #1 hit single "Love Won't Let Me Wait."
Like T.I., Harris, who also sang with The Delfonics, also recorded for Atlantic Records.
After announcing his forthcoming album Paper Trail will be given an earlier release date of August 12, T.I. also provided some details on the subject of his sixth album to BET's Touré. During Wednesday's airing of the exclusive T.I. Speaks, the multi-platinum artist ventured away from the typical talk of the album's featured producers and collaborators and spoke on how his upcoming prison time will affect his subject matter.
"My music has always been a reflection of society [and] of what my experiences were," says T.I. "This is no different. Of course, there are certain elements that once existed in my life that no longer exist. So it will change to a certain degree, but it will still have that same edge to it. I can't really talk as elaborately about guns and drugs in my music to come, because it's non existent."
After pleading guilty to multiple charges associated with his illegal purchase of unregistered weapons in October of 2007, T.I. will face one year in prison, a $100,000 fine and 1,000 hours of community service. T.I. will begin serving his term no later than March 7, 2009. In the meantime, he will attempt to buck industry trends by releasing a platinum album and appearing in one of the country's top-earning movies for the third consecutive summer.
In 2006 ATL grossed $11.55 million during its first week while the album King debuted at number one on Billboard's charts by selling 468,000 copies in one week. The following year, the album T.I. vs. T.I.P. sold 467,000 copies during its initial week of release as American Gangster posted a first week gross of $43.56 million. After the August release of Paper Trail, T.I. will also be featured in the New Line feature film, For Sale. Audio of an additional interview with Hot 107.9
T.I. recently revealed the release date of his upcoming fifth solo album titled Paper Trail.
According to Billboard, T.I. revealed that the album will hit shelves on August 12th. The project was initially slated for release in September.
“There was a great demand for the product,” T.I. explained. “Once we put out ’No Matter What,’ we got so much positive response that we moved up the date.”
T.I. released the song “No Matter What” on his website, streetcred.com, last week.
The Atlanta bred rapper revealed the album will feature production from DJ Toomp, Drumma Boy, Keith Mack, JR Rotem and Lil C. He plans to release the song "Top of the World", which features B.O.B and Kanye West, as Paper Trail’s first official single.
